An old aircraft carrier that once belonged to the Russian military has been revamped and reopened as a floating luxury hotel in China, according to The Guardian (via Pursuitist).
The boat, once called the Kiev, has been renamed the Tianjin Aircraft Carrier Hotel and outfitted with five lavish presidential suites, including one with a cowhide rug and round, white leather bed, from the looks of photos posted by China Daily.
Interest in naval pursuits has been building in China as the military recently launched several high-tech new military toys, including an aircraft carrier that once belonged to the Soviet Union.
Binhai Aircraft Park, which owns the hotel, reportedly spent over $15 million on renovations.
